Founding meeting of the "Scientists For Future Regional Group Kassel" (S4F)

For months, the students of Fridays For Future (FFF) have been holding weekly school strikes to draw attention to the fact that rapid and far-reaching measures are needed to stop man-made climate change.

In March 2019, 26,800 scientists from German-speaking countries, including many from Kassel, signed a statement reaffirming FFF's demands. Scientists For Future (S4F) groups have been founded in many places to support the regional and nationwide activities of FFF with their expertise. We now want to do the same in Kassel!

A diverse group of people from various fields (including the Center for Environmental Systems Research CESR, Center for Teacher Education, Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology, Institute for Thermal Energy Technology, Institute for Protestant Theology, Institute for Psychology, UniKasselTransfer) has agreed to found an S4F regional group in Kassel. All interested scientists and employees who would like to get involved are cordially invited!
