FoSS: Multi-perspectivity as an opportunity to penetrate (not only) social law

Social law is not exactly considered the hub of the German legal world. Its marginal position stands in contrast to the density of regulation, complexity and political and practical significance of social law. One can rightly lament this state of affairs. However, it also offers opportunities, as the specialist social law community is comparatively open both internally and externally: The boundaries between academia and practice, between lawyers and representatives of other specialist disciplines are more permeable than in other areas. This enables a multi-perspectivity that is essential in order to be able to penetrate this highly complex area of law. This can provide impetus for a stronger integration of teaching, research and application far beyond social law.
