Opening of the exhibition "City and Country" | Theme Year 2024/25 "Transformations in City + Country"

The SDG+ Lab's new theme year 2024/25 "Transformations in urban and rural areas" is all about the sustainable design of urban and rural areas and the interplay between urban and rural areas. Because a sustainable future needs liveable, climate-resilient and vibrant places as well as good coexistence - in the city and in the countryside.

To mark the opening of the new exhibition, we are rolling up our sleeves. For example, a parking lot will move into our rooms and be opened up as a so-called third place for new ideas. Accompanied by a dance performance by Mareike Steffens, we will explore the space curated by Marie Kammler together on an exclusive tour of the exhibition, which is dedicated to questions of living space, green space and traffic planning for urban and rural areas as well as the recurring question of community. In a subsequent round of talks with the participating professors Uwe Altrock, Stefan Rettich and Carsten Sommer as well as other participants, we will take a look at the past and the upcoming SDG+ Lab activities and, together with the artist nielscz (Niels Walter), bathe spaces in new light during the opening.

Join us in laying this first foundation stone for the opening of the second theme year and let's roll up our sleeves together for everything that is yet to come!
