Earth Day

Earth Day in Kassel is the largest event in Germany to mark International Earth Day. One of the traditions of Kassel's Earth Day is that the festival is celebrated in a different part of the city every year. These are always places that are heavily used by car traffic in everyday life. Once a year, this otherwise busy traffic area becomes a meeting place for pedestrians and a play area for children. There is always a multifaceted music and cultural program with lots of hands-on activities for young and old.
