Experience the library digitally: Open consultation hours on ORKA, Onleihe and more

Do you have questions about the Onleihe & Co services or are you interested in ORKA, the digitization platform of Kassel University Library? Then come to the open consultation hour on 24.06.2026 in the Murhard Library! From 2 to 4 pm we will be available for information, questions and exchange.

ORKA is the online platform of Kassel University Library for the digital provision of manuscripts, estates, photos, music, journals, monographs and maps. They are available there free of charge for academic and private purposes. As part of "Citizen Science", anyone interested can take part in bringing a piece of (regional) history back to life and making the full texts permanently available for posterity on ORKA.

Kassel University Library is a member of the Hessen eBibliotheken network. This gives all users access to various digital media offerings: Reading ebooks or listening to audio books in the Onleihe, learning languages with uTalk, making music with Enote, reading independent journalism with RiffReporter, and much more.

The consultation hour is free of charge and registration is not necessary. The venue is barrier-free.
