Are you trying to figure out which degree program best suits your interests and strengths, or do you still have questions about choosing a major and starting college? We’re happy to help!

Presentations ( Lecture Hall 4, Campus Center)

2:00 p.m.: Career Orientation Strategies
Based on the questions that students have regarding their career paths, this keynote presentation will introduce three career orientation strategies, along with their respective pros and cons, as well as the unique characteristics of the academic job market. Afterward, there will be time for questions and discussion.

3:30 p.m.: Application and Admissions Process
College entrance qualifications, admission restrictions, aptitude tests, NC, FHR, and biometric passport photos? The university admissions process is rife with technical terms and usually represents the first bureaucratic challenge prospective students face in their lives. This presentation will provide information about the admissions process.

Open Consultation 2:00–4:00 p.m.

The open consultation hour offers all prospective students the opportunity to ask questions in a one-on-one conversation with Employees from General Student Advising.

The Center for Teacher Education at the University of Kassel offers its own advising service specifically for teacher education programs.

Open advising sessions and general questions about the Bachelor of Science plusMINT program.

All About College Life 2:00–4:00 p.m.
Students share their experiences and impressions of everyday college life. They offer tips on organizing your studies, campus life, and their experiences choosing a major.
