Water as a Path to Education: Learning to Swim, Enabling Participation, and Creating Opportunities

Jan Pommer, Chairman of the German Swimming Federation, is visiting Kassel as part of the “Kasseler Welle” event. After touring the “Kasseler Welle” facility at the Auebad, he will participate in a panel discussion at UNI:Lokal.

The discussion will focus on the importance of learning to swim for education, safety, social participation, and equal opportunities. Participants will discuss how children can gain early access to the water and what roles schools, clubs, local governments, and associations play in this process.

The event is part of the “Kasseler Welle” series.
