Opera Evening “It’s All Mozart!”

With “Everything Is Mozart!,” Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart takes the concert stage. The program was designed specifically for middle and high school students but is presented as a public performance for a broad audience. Mozart enthusiasts, families, music lovers, and anyone looking for an entertaining introduction to opera are welcome.

The program, which features a narrator and costumed performers, combines singing, acting, and dialogue. It focuses on scenes and arias from four of Mozart’s major operas: “The Abduction from the Seraglio,” “La clemenza di Tito” (The Clemency of Titus), “Le nozze di Figaro” (The Marriage of Figaro), and “The Magic Flute.” By combining music, theatrical performance, and narration, the works and their characters come to life in a vivid and immediate way.

An essential part of the project is the participation of students from the Institute of Music at the University of Kassel. They perform as singers and instrumentalists, gaining valuable stage experience in the process. “Alles ist Mozart!” is supported by the Belcanto Förderverein Kassel and the Lions Club Kassel – Brüder Grimm, with the aim of promoting young musical talent and providing students with performance opportunities through this project.

Anna Sterzer serves as musical director, with Faina Ostromuhov and Julia Reingardt providing piano accompaniment. Prof. Dr. Jan Hemming, Jochen Faulhammer, and Erik Sigmund will guide the audience through the program.
