Lore Steubing Institute (LSI): Biodiversity and Species Conservation

The Lore Steubing Institute for Nature Conservation and Biodiversity in Hesse (Lore Steubing Institute—LSI for short) holds an annual event at one of its partner research institutions with the goal of bringing together stakeholders from academia, government, and the field of nature conservation. This year’s event focuses on biodiversity and species conservation.

The conference is aimed specifically at all stakeholders involved in research and the implementation of projects related to biodiversity and species conservation. The goal of the event is to foster networking, facilitate mutual understanding, and identify gaps in research and knowledge regarding species conservation.

Following a brief introduction to the LSI, the LSI partner research institutions will present their current research on the topic of “Biodiversity—Species Conservation.” Afterward, a poster session will provide an opportunity for professional discussion of the research presented. After the lunch break, a keynote presentation will serve as an introduction to the thematic roundtables. Following this, we cordially invite you to engage in conversation with LSI scientists as well as representatives from nature conservation practice and administration in a World Café format on species conservation topics. In addition, ample time has been set aside for open-ended discussions and conversations on any topic.
