Save the date: KOWI - Research in Europe

If researchers are looking to advance their academic careers—whether through a Ph.D., a postdoctoral fellowship, or by seeking new funding opportunities—then KOWI’s international career day, “Research in Europe,” is just the thing for them. The event will take place on October 8, 2026, at the University of Kassel and offers a comprehensive overview of funding opportunities in Germany and across Europe.

Organized by the EU Cooperation Office of German Research Organizations (KoWi) in collaboration with the University of Kassel, the event is aimed at advanced undergraduate students, Doctoral candidates, early-career researchers, postdocs, and those in the habilitation phase. Experts from various German research funding organizations will present their programs and be available at information booths to provide personalized advice.

Here, researchers can learn which funding instruments are currently available, how to optimize their applications, and what paths they can pursue in the European research community. It’s an ideal place to network, find out about current calls for proposals, and strategically advance your career planning.
