UNI:Lokal

The UNI:Lokal is a central and open venue and exhibition space in Kassel's city center.

With this offer in Kassel's pedestrian zone, the University of Kassel aims to strengthen its connection to the city's society. With a varied program of exhibitions and events, citizens are invited to enter into a dialogue about current research topics and to discuss aspects. At UNI:Lokal, prospective students can also find out about the wide range of courses on offer at any time. With the SDG+ Lab, the regional sustainability laboratory of UniKasselTransfer has moved into the premises as the main player.

"Value creation and appreciation - renegotiating work and the economy"

Opening exhibition of the theme year "Transformations in work and business" in the SDG+ Lab at the University of Kassel

What do we talk about when we talk about values? Who decides what is valued? What is already there and where do we need new perspectives and alternative models?
The inaugural exhibition "Value creation and appreciation" explores these questions and shows alternative models to our current value chains. Instead of produce - use - throw away, the focus is on cycles, reuse, sharing and the revaluation of materials.
Anyone who is interested and curious is invited to explore how materials can be rethought and how new value chains, forms of work and changed structures can emerge from them using wool, mushrooms, coal, green waste and garbage.

Opening of the SDG+ Lab exhibition: Wednesday, 29.10.2025 | 18:00 (admission 17:30)
Registration is requested: www.sdgpluslab.de/wertschaetzung
