- Successful completion of the bachelor’s degree program in Business Informatics or an equivalent degree from another university
- and proof of a standard period of study of at least 6 semesters
- and proof of at least 180 credits
The assessment of academic prerequisites is based on the written application materials. The relevant academic background is considered met if at least the following requirements have been fulfilled:
- Courses in computer science totaling at least 12 credits from the required computer science modules in semesters 1–3 of the Bachelor’s program in Business Informatics at the University of Kassel
- Courses in mathematics, statistics, or econometrics totaling at least 18 credits, and
- Courses in economics totaling at least 12 credits, and
- Courses in Business Informatics totaling at least 6 credits.
If any substantive prerequisites are missing, the Examination Board may impose substantive requirements totaling a maximum of 30 credits, which must be fulfilled by the time the master’s thesis is registered.
