Career prospects

The degree program provides a very good basis for a doctorate as well as for management positions in social work. The broad research profile of the Institute of Social Work allows a very individual selection of research internships (also beyond the Institute and the University of Kassel). The empirical Master's thesis can also be developed and implemented in close cooperation with a department of the Institute. In this way, students are accompanied from the first semester on their individual educational path and strengthened in the development of their own professional academic profile. In addition to an academic career, professional development prospects include working in equal opportunities offices, in anti-discrimination work or as a consultant in educational work.
