Advantages of the Erasmus program
- You are exempt from tuition fees at your host university.
- You receive a predetermined financial grant adjusted to your destination country (depending on availability of funds).
- The credits you earn abroad can be recognized by your faculty upon consultation.
- You have access to OLS language test and preparation and can further improve your language skills before your stay.
- The University of Kassel and your host university will provide you with academic and administrative support.
- Additional financial support is available for students with special needs.
- The Erasmus+ Student Charter forms the basis for mobility.
Prerequisites
- You must be enrolled at the University of Kassel (full-time studies). Exchange students are excluded from any funding.
- You must have an adequate knowledge of the teaching language at the host institution. You can study in English at a large number of our partner universities.
- You have not yet used up your maximum Erasmus quota. You can obtain funding for up to 12 months (study and internships periods) per study phase (BA, MA, PhD). For state examinations and artistic degrees, the maximum funding period is 24 months.
- There must be an active bilateral Erasmus-agreement between your faculty/institute and the university of your choice abroad.
- Possibly internal departmental requirements (please ask the respective faculty)
