Introductory events

The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences offers you the opportunity to take a free preliminary course in mathematics before the start of the first semester. A total of seven different mathematics pre-courses (tailored to the respective degree program) are offered. The courses last between four and six weeks and take place before the actual start of lectures.

The Intensive 1 or Compact 1/2 preliminary course is recommended for this degree program.

The winter semester 2023/24 is starting and we look forward to welcoming you all to campus in person. To make it easier for you to start your student life, I, the City of Kassel, the Studierendenwerk, the General Students' Committee (AStA) and other important contact points would like to welcome you as first semester students at the University of Kassel.
