Introduction and start of studies

The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences offers you the opportunity to take a non-binding online self-study unit in chemistry before the start of your first semester. The unit is offered as a Moodle course and is a voluntary offer to all students who have a chemistry component in their first semester or in their degree program and would like to refresh their chemistry knowledge.

Dear first-semester students in the Master’s program in Ecological Agriculture,
we are pleased to welcome you to the Department of Ecological Agricultural Sciences at the University of Kassel and look forward to meeting you soon. To ensure you have the best possible start to your studies, an intensive orientation session for the program will take place before the start of the semester, beginning on October 12, 2026, at the Witzenhausen Campus.

In the winter semester 2026/27, the introductory events for your respective degree program will take place between Monday, 12.10.26 and Wednesday, 14.10.2026. Participation in the introductory events is highly recommended.

The regular courses begin on Thursday, 15.10.26
