Study structure

The master’s program has a modular structure and combines required and elective courses, supplemented by research or practical components. The program concludes with a master’s thesis. Over the course of four semesters, you’ll earn 120 credits (ECTS) and deepen your knowledge in key areas of artificial intelligence and data science—such as machine learning, data engineering, deep learning, natural language processing, and autonomous systems.

In addition to the core modules, you’ll choose a specialization that allows you to tailor your studies to a specific field of application. This enables you to customize your academic profile and integrate AI methods with other disciplines. You’ll find detailed descriptions of the specializations in the module handbook.

Practical and research projects, seminars, and labs help you translate theoretical knowledge into concrete applications. A samplestudy plan, the module handbook, and the examination regulations provide you with clear guidance on course content, procedures, and elective options. As a result, the Master’s program inArtificial Intelligence and Data Science offers you well-rounded, flexible, and future-oriented professional training at a high academic level.
