Group funding with Erasmus
Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs (Group Mobilities)
Field trips and study tours to partner universities that take place as part of an official Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) may be subsidized with Erasmus funding.
- A transnational teaching and learning program jointly developed by at least three universities (from three different countries)
- Includes a physical stay abroad as well as a mandatory virtual component that facilitates content-based preparation, support, and follow-up for the short mobility phase
- Offers students and faculty new and creative opportunities for international educational collaboration
- Is applied for by the organizing/implementing university as part of the Erasmus+ application
- It is an official Blended Intensive Program
- There is a bilateral Erasmus agreement (IIA) with the host university
- The host university awards at least 3 ECTS credits, and these credits are recognized by the University of Kassel
- Physical stay of 5–10 days, including a virtual component
- Participation in the Blended Intensive Program takes place as part of a study trip (individual stays are not eligible for funding)
- Applications may be submitted all year
- Available funds are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
- Only faculty members at the University of Kassel are eligible to submit an application
- Submit the application form via email (erasmus[at]uni-kassel[dot]de)
- Deadline: no later than 2 months before the start of the in-person phase of the BIP

- Additional funding for participants with fewer opportunities (one-time payment of 100 € per stay)
- Students with a disability
- Students with additional needs due to a chronic illness
- Students with child(ren)
- First-generation college students (students from non-academic families)
Staff
- Funding through the regular Erasmus staff mobility program for further education and training
Faculty
- Funding under the regular Erasmus personal mobility program for teaching purposes
