The University's Diversity' Guiding Principles were developed throughout the University as part of the first phase of the Audit "Vielfalt gestalten". The university understands diversity as a resource that makes productive use of diverse perspectives for research, teaching and administration. At the same time, the aim is to create equal opportunities in the sense of general principles of equal treatment. Responsibility for both strategic development and concrete implementation is anchored in the university's management and decision-making structures: from the Presidential Board to the Equality Commission to the departments.
