Mobility Fund for scientists with family responsibilities

To improve conditions for balancing family and academic life, the university has set up a mobility fund for academics, especially early-career researchers with family responsibilities. The fund can be used to subsidize mobility costs relating to family responsibilities to reconcile conference attendance, business trips, research stays abroad, etc. with family responsibilities. The prerequisite is the necessity of taking children under the age of 16 and people involved in childcare (e.g., relatives) on business trips and/or additional childcare or nursing costs at the place of residence. A grant of up to 250 euros can be requested per child or relative. Funding within the framework of third-party funded projects must take place in consultation with the Family Welcome Service. Applications must be submitted via the Family Welcome Service of the Equal Opportunities Office.
