Statement on the attack on Ukraine (as of 2/2022)

The Presidential Board of the University of Kassel is appalled by the Russian leadership's attack on Ukraine. This is also an attack on the European idea and the principles of democracy and international understanding, which we as a university also stand for.

Science thrives on international exchange, non-violence and peace. We are concerned for the well-being of all those who are being drawn into this war against their will. Our thoughts are especially with our cooperation partners in Ukraine and with all those associated with our university who now fear for their families and friends.
