"Anyone who talks about Kassel cannot do so without talking about the university," said City Treasurer Matthias Nölke in his welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of the university. Together with University President Prof. Dr. Ute Clement, he opened the celebration. Ute Clement broke the bad news that the keynote speaker, AI expert Fritz Espenlaub, had to cancel at very short notice.

With around 80 program items and information stands, the university nevertheless offered a wide range of scientific and cultural activities.

Hands-on science and a summer atmosphere

Numerous workshops, hands-on activities, short lectures and guided tours enabled guests to experience current research and teaching topics at the university directly and vividly. In addition to the technical program, the event was also characterized by music and cultural formats. Large parts of the festival took place outdoors. Live bands on the main stage provided an exuberant summer festival atmosphere well into the evening.

Further impressions as well as image and video material will be published on the University of Kassel's social media channels.
