As part of module 5, you choose a supplementary subject from another subject area. You can choose from: Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy, Biology, Economics, Art Science, Cognitive Science Linguistics or Sports Science.
Scope:
You need (one or two) course(s) totaling 4 SWS, whereby you must complete at least one course achievement and at least one examination achievement. Your performance can be credited with a total of 8 ECTS credits (even if the actual number of ECTS credits earned is higher). The requirements in the individual courses and subjects may differ. Please refer to the course descriptions in the course catalog and the overview of courses offered (see below). After selecting your course(s), discuss the booking of your credits with the lecturers at the first appointment. It is advisable to obtain 2x 4 ECTS, but other combinations are permitted as long as a total of at least 8 ECTS is achieved.
Registration:
Check HISPos to see whether you can register directly for your desired course from the overview of courses offered (see below). If it is not possible to register via HISPos, please refer to the information in the overview of courses (see below).
Courses:
Please make sure that you fulfill any prerequisites for the respective courses and do not choose any courses that you are already taking as part of your psychology studies. In addition, you may not take any courses that you have already attended in the Bachelor of Psychology in Kassel. Likewise, no courses from the non-psychology elective module/supplementary subject in the Bachelor's degree may be taken for the Master's degree.

Booking of credits:
At the end of the semester, have your coursework or examination results certified on the printed form "Leistungsnachweis" (see below) and submit it to Ms. Christiane Braun at the Examinations Office at the Institute of Psychology as soon as you have completed coursework and examinations worth at least 8 ECTS.
IMPORTANT: If you completed your Bachelor's degree in Kassel, please enter the subject area and title of the non-psychology elective module/supplementary subject that you completed as part of your degree on the transcript of records. This will be checked when you register for the course, and any incorrect information will be regarded as an attempt to cheat and the course cannot be claimed.
