Studying without a high school diploma

We learn not only at school, but also in life, at work and in further vocational training. It is therefore logical to also enable people to study who do not have an Abitur or Fachhochschulreife, but who have sufficient skills to successfully complete a course of study due to qualifications gained outside of a general school.

In Hesse, there are three routes to university for vocationally qualified people without an Abitur:

Are you unsure whether a degree course is right for you or which degree programme suits you best?

Then please make an appointment with the Academic Advisory Service. The counseling appointments take place either in direct contact, by telephone or via a ZOOM meeting.

Are you unsure whether you can start a degree course with your qualification?

Then please use the online form "Studying with a professional qualification" of the universities in Hesse and select "Preliminary examination of your documents: University entrance qualification with professional qualification".
