We also welcome students who would like to study at the University of Kassel for one or two semesters without an exchange program.

Here is some information on how to proceed in this case:

Step 1: You need to find a professor who is willing to supervise you academically during your stay. Please take a look at the overview of all departments and decide which department you would like to study at and which subject area matches your previous studies: Departments, Facilities, Services

Step 2: I need a written confirmation from the professor about the academic supervision.

Step 3: You must apply as an exchange student. You will receive further information from me by e-mail after I have received the confirmation of supervision.

The deadlines for the application are
Summer semester (April to September): January 15
Winter semester (October to March): July 15 (art June 15)

Please note that most courses at the University of Kassel are taught in German. In many departments, courses are also offered in English.

Step 3: You have to apply as an exchange student. Information about this procedure you will receive after I have received the confirmation from the professor.
