The Competence Center for Gender Studies in Transformation offers a space for professional exchange, networking and the development of interdisciplinary research projects. It is aimed at all those working in gender studies, including students, doctoral candidates and post-docs, provided their work includes interdisciplinary, intersectional and international aspects of gender studies.
Targeted support is planned for doctoral candidates and post-docs within the framework of the Competence Center. This support complements the existing structures at the University of Kassel and includes offers such as writing workshops, teaching training, presentation and moderation techniques and time management. In addition, specific programs for graduate support in gender research will be developed in cooperation with the Graduate Academy.
The Competence Centre also promotes internationalization and supports students, doctoral candidates and post-docs in their stays abroad and in applying for funding for international conferences. They are integrated into international networks at the University of Kassel.
