International Museum Day

Every year in May, museums celebrate International Museum Day. The event is proclaimed by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and draws attention to the diversity of the museum landscape.

Around 6,500 museums throughout Germany invite visitors to special tours, workshops and competitions and offer a look behind the scenes with free admission on this day.
