Arthur Honegger's symphonic psalm "King David" is a monumental work full of expressive power and spiritual depth. With impressive choirs, lyrical solo parts and dramatic orchestral sounds, Honegger tells the story of the life of the biblical King David - from triumph and power to guilt and inner turmoil. The haunting music combines archaic power with modern tonal language and makes for a thrilling concert experience.
