Coffee Talk | Fairness and Transparency in the Heating Transition in the Rental Sector

15 Minutes with Dr. Leo Reutter (Institute for Economics of Small Businesses and Skilled Trades at the University of Göttingen)

The energy transition requires comprehensive modernizations in the rental housing sector, in which landlords must invest while tenants benefit from lower heating costs. The current modernization cost-sharing provision in tenancy law is inadequate and unfair.

At UNI:Lokal, Dr. Leo Reutter will present his reform proposal, which enables a transparent and fair distribution of the costs and benefits of energy-efficiency upgrades.

During the “Coffee Talks ,” researchers from the University of Kassel explain their work—briefly and concisely in 15 minutes. For anyone who wants to start their evening with some interesting insights on current topics—a sweet snack and a hot beverage are provided free of charge.
