The CampusCard is your daily companion through everyday student life.
Whether eating in the cafeteria, using the library or printing and copying - the CampusCard helps with everything.
Validation of the CampusCard
What does "validation" mean?
Validation is an update of the card at vending machines located at each university location. During this process, the data stored visually and electronically on the card, such as the semester ticket, is updated. Without regular validation, the card loses its validity.
How long are the student ID and semester ticket valid on the CampusCard?
During validation, the ID cards are printed for the current semester and, if you have already successfully re-registered, also for the following semester. You can check whether the re-registration has been completed in eCampus(My Studies > Student Services).
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
If you are already enrolled and do not yet have a CampusCard, you can order the initial card online. In the case of new enrollment, the card is automatically created after enrollment and sent by mail to the address that was specified in the application. However, if the address is not in Germany, the card will not be mailed, but will be held for pickup at the IT Helpdesk (ITS, Mönchebergstraße 11).
The semester ticket is valid in the entire area of the NVV (North Hessen Transport Network) as well as on selected routes of other transport companies in the direction of Göttingen, Fulda, Marburg and Paderborn. The complete route map and further information can be found on the AStA website:
Certificates related to studies (e.g. study certificate, study progress certificate and tax office certificate) can be retrieved by students independently in eCampus. After logging in, go to "My studies" -> "Study services" and click on the tab "Certificates".
