Vice Pre­si­dent Prof. Dr Rita Borromeo Ferri

Prof. Dr. Rita Borromeo Ferri is the Presidential Board member responsible for studies and teaching.

Professor Dr. Rita Borromeo Ferri has held the Chair of Mathematics Education at the University of Kassel since 2011. The internationally networked scientist focuses her research on mathematical modeling, cognitive psychological analyses of learning processes and learning with artificial intelligence. As co-director and initiator of the MINT-Hub Kassel, she is a key advocate for the practical integration of schools, universities and careers. In 2018, she was awarded the Hessian University Prize for Excellence in Teaching for her outstanding work. She has also been working as a science advisor at Columbia University in New York since 2019.
