Childcare around the Witzenhausen campus:

The University of Kassel provides its employees with childcare spots for children under the age of 3 at various childcare facilities.

At the Holländischer Platz campus, childcare spots are available at “Klinik-Kids,” the daycare center of the Kassel University Hospital, and at the Witzenhausen campus at the “Die Frechdachse” daycare center run by the Kassel Student Services.

Additionally, the university has a fixed number of hours available at the flexible childcare facility “studykidscare” run by the Kassel Student Services. Children of employees from the age of six months to the end of primary school can be looked after here.

For more information, please contact the Family Welcome Service at familywelcomeservice[at]uni-kassel[dot]de.

For financial reasons, childcare services throughout the city of Kassel, including those at the university, are not available to children from the surrounding region. Additionally, each daycare center has different occupancy arrangements and specific admission criteria (e.g., deadlines for enrollment), which must be inquired about individually.
