Flexible Childcare
Childcare shortages can pose a major challenge for studying and working parents. The University of Kassel and the Kassel Student Services offer flexible childcare options for students and employees. You will find an overview of these opportunities on this page.

The Flying Nannies are a free, flexible childcare service for students and employees of the University of Kassel. Children of students and employees are cared for up to the end of elementary school age. The childcare service is intended as a supplementary and supportive service. It is primarily available when university commitments make it impossible for parents to provide their own childcare at times. Care is provided according to the individual needs of the guardians and children on the University of Kassel campus and the Witzenhausen location, depending on the wishes and arrangements made.
Details regarding childcare can be found in the General information about the flexible childcare Flying Nannies, which must be read and understood in advance.

In addition to the care provided by the Flying Nannies in the family rooms, it is also possible to book pedagogically qualified babysitters from the babysitter network. The babysitter network is a childcare service that goes beyond university obligations and is arranged directly between the babysitters and the parents. The university only acts as an intermediary.
