FUSION 2026 | THEORY: Recoding The Existing with Robin Winogrond and Jurek Brüggen
FUSION WoSe 2026: THEORY
FUSION stands for movement, exchange, mutual activation and fusion. The new interdisciplinary lecture series at the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning and Landscape Planning sees itself as a cooperative and growing interplay between disciplines, positions and generations. The aim is to create spaces in which people can enter into dialog with each other at eye level - from students and international experts to local initiatives.
In the summer semester 2026, the focus will be on theoretical approaches and reflection processes that underpin critical action in planning, design and research.
The focus will be on the question of how theory can be used to develop an attitude to tackle current challenges such as resource scarcity or the housing crisis - and which analytical, speculative and interdisciplinary perspectives emerge from this. Five thematically curated, dialogical Wednesday evenings with international guests, three inaugural lectures by new guest professors and the farewell lecture by the deputy professor for design and building construction are planned.
Moderated and conceived by Leo Paulmichl, Helena Rafalsky, Alexander Rakow, Olympia Tomczyk
