Vocational education - specialization in metal technology and electrical engineering (Bachelor)

Understanding education in working life and school as a unit - this is fundamental for vocational teachers who want to be teachers at vocational schools.

Whether they later teach at different courses of education at vocational schools (e.g. vocational school, vocational grammar school, vocational schools, technical schools, etc.) or are responsible for (extracurricular) training in companies or are lecturers at a vocational training institution - it is always about vocational preparation, vocational training, further vocational training and continuing the general education of pupils. One of the central tasks of vocational teachers is to provide individual advice and support to groups of pupils who are heterogeneous in terms of age, educational qualifications, previous vocational experience, ability, etc. and to create a climate in the classroom that is conducive to learning.

The content of the vocational education course focuses on either metal technology or electrical engineering - in both cases innovative and future-proof technical professions. In addition to the teaching subjects, the educational and social science core course is a compulsory part of the teacher training course at the University of Kassel. There is a great demand for graduates in the short, medium and long term - both at schools and in companies.
