Industrial Engineering (Master)

Successful graduates of the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Industrial Engineering and Management combine technical expertise with economic judgment. They are particularly convincing where problem-solving skills and critical thinking across economic and technical disciplines are required.

Building on the Bachelor's degree, students hone their profile. They can put the knowledge they acquire during their studies directly into professional practice and thus systematically penetrate, analyze and evaluate operational processes. It is also possible to enter scientific research with this degree. Specialization is achieved through the individually selectable study programme. This allows students to obtain a degree according to their own interests and personal inclinations. In addition, important interdisciplinary key competencies are acquired.

The four-semester course can be started in the summer or winter semester. Admission to the course is not restricted. The admission requirement is a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or an equivalent degree. Proof of knowledge in statistics/mathematics is required.

Graduates of the course think and make decisions in an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral manner. On the job, this can mean taking on responsibility for personnel in projects and helping to make decisions in operational processes. At demanding interfaces, they are contact persons for economic, legal and technical issues.
