You will learn to differentiate, analyze and critically evaluate the most important source genres. In the in-depth modules, you will intensify the knowledge gained in the introductory modules on European and non-European topics. You can deepen your personal interests by choosing from a wide range of courses.
Throughout the Bachelor's degree course, you will also acquire a wide range of methodological skills that will qualify you for various professional fields, such as personnel management and adult education, journalism or museums, but you will also be prepared for working in an archive, a teaching institution or on archaeological sites. The six to eight semester Bachelor's degree course in History in Kassel, a city rich in museums, also offers you the opportunity to study in a particularly practice-oriented way.

In the advanced module "Europe and Non-Europe", you will deepen your knowledge of selected topics of this spatially defined history, which you will gain from an intensive examination of sources and research literature.
