Teaching times

Lectures for the summer semester begin on April 22, 2025 and end on July 25, 2025.

The course catalog of the Institute of Sport and Sport Science is published here during the semester break before the start of the new semester. The course overview contains information about the courses offered within the individual modules, the lecturers, course times and venues as well as possible admission requirements. In addition, each course in the course directory is already assigned a course number. This is relevant when the period for online dial-in is released, as the respective course is selected during this dial-in process based on the number assigned to it. The course catalog of the University of Kassel is an annotated version. This means that in addition to the information about the lecturer, the course times and the venues, information about the specific content, objectives and requirements of the course are formulated.

At the University of Kassel, registration for sports courses takes place online. The online registration period is during the semester break and will be announced here. Clicking on the information about the online registration period will take you to the institute's website, which explains how to register. Information about the required login name and the individual password for students is provided. For a better understanding of the dial-in process, students are provided with an information sheet that is intended to answer open questions. Once students have understood the dial-in process, they can make their individual registration in the next step by clicking on the Online course dial-in button. Registration is carried out using a ranking procedure. Students must therefore assign a priority to each course when registering. Students with children have the option of registering for a preferred dial-in procedure. Please contact Kristina Isermann for this.

The registration procedure via the registration system is only possible for students from the 2nd semester onwards. Course selection for students in their first semester takes place during the introductory events. Students from the 2nd semester onwards who wish to take the courses Target Shooting Games and Setback Games in the coming semester should contact Dr. Andreas Albert.

If you have any questions about the registration system, please contact Kristina Isermann. If you have any questions about individual courses and the allocation of places, please contact the relevant lecturers directly.

In the coming winter semester 2025/2026, registration will take place in the following periods:

  • 1st phase (enrollment): 16.03. - 22.03.26
  • 2nd phase (confirmation): 30.03. - 05.04.26

In accordance with Section 11 "General Provisions (LA)", students may apply for compensation for disadvantages due to a serious or chronic illness, a disability within the meaning of Section 2 (1) SGB IX, illness of children in need of care or relatives in need of care, maternity leave or parental leave. The application must be submitted in writing to the Chair of the Module Examination Board. As a general rule, applications should be submitted as early as possible in order to ensure a proper examination and organizational implementation. If the reasons already exist, applications for compensation for disadvantages should be submitted at least four weeks before the examination date.

The application must be submitted using the form "Application for examination modification (compensation for disadvantages)". (Link: https://www.uni-kassel.de/uni/files/Studium/Kontakt-Beratung-Termine/Studium_Behinderung/Studierende/Nachteilsausgleich_4_2019.pdf).

The application should contain a brief description of the underlying impairment and a comprehensible description of the extent to which this has a negative impact on the performance of the examination. In addition, information on the requested form of compensation for the disadvantage is required. The decisive factor here is that the requested examination modification is suitable to compensate for the existing disadvantage in an equivalent manner without creating an advantage.

As a rule, the application must be accompanied by a medical certificate from a specialist. This must be issued on official letterhead and contain details of the functional limitations relevant to the examination and their expected duration. Please provide your doctor with the handout for preparing a medical certificate. (Link: https://www.uni-kassel.de/uni/files/Studium/Kontakt-Beratung-Termine/Studium_Behinderung/Studierende/Attestanforderungen.pdf).

It is also recommended that you contact the examiner at an early stage. For reasons of data protection, teachers are not automatically informed of requests made. It is therefore advisable to consult the teacher independently.
