FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Questions about exam administration
If the eligibility to participate in an examination depends on passing a course achievement in the same module, you should enter the grades in the system by February 13, 2026 so that the student's eligibility to participate in the examination can be checked in good time. As this also applies to assessments that may be a prerequisite in other modules, it is strongly recommended that assessments completed before February 13, 2026 are entered as far as possible.
More detailed binding regulations on the registration and deregistration of examinations are expected to be published in November.
Registration
Students must also register in the usual way for examinations that are held from February 20 to March 16, 2026. If this is done via the examination administration system, registration must be completed by February 19, 23:59 so that eligibility to participate can be checked in the usual way.
It is not possible to register or deregister via the electronic examination administration system during the maintenance phase. Only in exceptional cases can students register later via the Examinations Office.
More detailed binding regulations will be published from November. The exact form of this intended regulation is currently being prepared. It has been agreed in advance with the departments. However, a resolution by the responsible committees is still pending. Information will be provided shortly thereafter.
Deregistration
If students have registered via the electronic examination management system for examinations taking place in the period from February 20 to March 16, 2026, it will not be possible to deregister during the maintenance phase. According to the planned regulations, it will not be necessary to deregister from such examinations as an exception during the maintenance phase and the following week (i.e. probably until March 16, 2026).
We will publish more detailed information from November. The exact form of this intended regulation is currently being prepared. It has been agreed in advance with the departments. However, a resolution by the responsible committees is still pending. Information will be provided shortly afterwards.
