Business Education (Master)

Teaching profession or the private sector? That's what the Business Education course offers! In the Master's degree course in Business Education (M.Ed.), students deepen their knowledge of business and economics, building on the Bachelor's degree course. In addition to deepening their knowledge of educational and social science topics, the course enables students to either expand their knowledge of a second subject at school and its didactics or to take the extracurricular minor in Business, Personnel and Organizational Development in order to promote the professional skills of young people and adults as a teacher in the teaching profession or as an extracurricular expert in training and further education.

With the Master's degree, business educators fulfill the requirements for entry into the traineeship (pedagogical preparatory service for the higher teaching profession). Afterwards, many school-related fields of activity are open to them in the teaching profession: These include all types of vocational schools (e.g. vocational schools or vocational grammar schools) in which commercial subjects are taught. Teaching at vocational schools is a challenging job that offers trained business teachers an interesting and future-proof (civil servant) position. In addition, graduates also have access to numerous extracurricular fields of activity, e.g. as lecturers in educational institutions or companies. Furthermore, the degree program also prepares students for an academic career at universities and research institutions. The degree program thus offers a high degree of flexibility for the professional future of its students.
