Welcome by the Dean, presentation of the institutes and campus tour

The Dean welcomes all new students to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the institutes introduce themselves (approx. 1.5 hours). Immediately afterwards, the student council organizes a campus tour and groups are formed for the city rally that takes place after lunch.

City rally
Time: 13:00-18:00
Location: Meeting point in front of lecture hall 1, Diagonale 1 (square in front of the glass box)

Start of the city rally with up to 12 stations across Kassel, where the teams formed in the morning have to compete against each other and collect as many points as possible. The teams in 1st to 3rd place win a voucher for the Irish Pub (evening event on Tuesday).

Party of the student council in the large student council room, to which all new students are cordially invited and which offers a good opportunity to get to know your fellow students.

In the summer semester 2026, the introductory events for your respective degree program will take place between Thursday, 09.04.26, Friday, 10.04.2026 and/or Monday, 13.04.2026. Participation in the introductory events is highly recommended.

The regular courses begin on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The course period ends on July 17, 2026.

Tuesday after Whitsun (25 May 26) and so-called bridge days (Fridays after Ascension Day 15 May 26 and Corpus Christi 05 June 26) are not free of events.
