Business Education (Bachelor)

Teaching profession or the private sector? This is what the Business Education course offers! Students of Business Education acquire a double qualification: on the one hand, they acquire specialist business and economic knowledge and can therefore work as business economists in the HR department or other operational areas. On the other hand, they learn how to pass on this knowledge in a didactically skillful way in order to later work as teachers in the teaching profession or in training and further education.

As teachers, they teach pupils after completing their studies. They guide them to think and work independently and take responsibility for teaching social behavior and values. Thanks to extensive practical elements in schools, the university education is close to the profession. The course combines the vocational subject of economics with business didactics, educational and social science studies and a second teaching subject. In addition, students acquire the ability to critically reflect on scientific studies in the courses on mathematics, statistics and research methods. Students can choose a second teaching subject, including the associated subject didactics: Chemistry, German, English, French, Mathematics, Politics, Physics, Religion, Spanish or Sport.

Thanks to the broad training in education and economics as well as the respective elective subjects and their didactics, economics teachers are not only welcome as teachers. In private and public organizations, they are also frequently employed as experts in training and further education. The degree program therefore offers a high degree of flexibility for the professional future of its students.
