Master of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning

The Master's degree course is designed to be 'research-oriented'. It teaches knowledge and skills oriented towards current issues from research and practice on the basis of in-depth fundamental knowledge, which enables students to practice their profession in all fields of planning in a structural-spatial or strategic-conceptual context, to obtain the so-called "chamber qualification" and to conduct their own scientific research.

The particular aim of the 4-semester course is to develop an individual study profile with an orientation towards the diverse requirements of the methodically and content-wise differentiated professional fields.

The Landscape Planning & Landscape Architecture degree program is interdisciplinary and linked to the two other departmental degree programs in Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning.

General

A degree program consists of modules that are defined in the examination regulations and described in more detail in the module handbook. In terms of content and time, it makes sense to study these modules in a certain order. There is a sample study plan for each degree program, which shows you an ideal course of study. If you study in this way, you can complete your studies within the standard period of study. This is not always possible, so there may be individual deviations from the suggested course. When planning, you should bear in mind that not every module is offered in the winter and summer semesters and that some modules build on each other or have other participation requirements. The Student Advisory Service will help you to plan your studies individually.
