Urban planning / urban design

In focus: A special feature is the Master's specialization in urban design from landscape architecture and landscape planning. Together with Master's students from architecture and urban and regional planning, skills for in-depth spatial analysis and the development of urban design expertise are developed in interdisciplinary teams.

Special learning objectives:

• Design competence in the field of new planning, renewal and supplementation of built-spatial structures, reflection in the discourse of urban planning theories and guiding principles.

The Master's specialization in Urban Design (ST) aims to develop skills for in-depth spatial analysis and the development of urban design competence, taking into account architectural, urban planning and landscape architecture/open space planning issues. It is carried out jointly by all three disciplines of the department. The module structure allows for an in-depth seminar to be taken in the summer semester in preparation for the profile project taking place in the winter semester.
