Communication School

The final magazine of the Communication School

Science is everyone's business!

The current situation of the Covid–19 pandemic illustrates the need for communicating scientists who inform the citizens and advise the politicians.
Whether communication with the public sphere or within the academic community – a targeted, convincing and comprehensible communication of the research projects and results promotes trust in science, the communication between academics and the application for funding.

Participants of the Communication School present their research!

The Communication School 2019/20

Written, rhetorical or visual: The Communication School imparted the diversity of possibilities in communication to academics.

The Communication School supported doctoral candidates, strengthened them in their competencies for science communication and helped them to become communicators. The one-week advanced qualification programme offered the opportunity to select three suitable focal points of communication from the nine workshops and develop their own communication concept.

At daily get-togethers, various formats and initiatives of science communication were presented and there was space for sharing ideas. After the workshop week, individual formats of science communication were tested and participants presented their own research at the public closing event (Science Night)
