Vocational Education - Metal Technology and Electrical Engineering (Bachelor)

Understanding education in working life and school as a unity - this is elementary for vocational educators who want to be teachers at vocational schools.

Whether they later teach at various vocational school programs (e.g., vocational school, vocational high school, vocational schools, technical schools, etc.) or are responsible for (extracurricular) training in companies or are lecturers at a vocational training institution - it is always about vocational preparation, vocational training, continuing vocational training and continuing the general education of the students. One of the central tasks of vocational educators is to provide individual advice and support to groups of students who are heterogeneous in terms of age, educational qualifications, previous vocational experience, ability, etc., and to create a climate in the classroom that is conducive to learning.

The content of the vocational education program covers either metal technology or electrical engineering - in both cases innovative and future-proof technical occupational fields. In addition to the teaching subjects, the educational and social science core course is a compulsory part of the teacher training program at the University of Kassel. There is a great demand for graduates in the short, medium and long term - both at schools and in companies.
