Course of study/training
The dual study program combines theory with exciting practical experience. The training courses on offer are also divided into theoretical content, which is taught at a vocational college, and practical sections.
When does the career start?
The course starts on September 1st, the apprenticeship usually begins after the Hessian summer vacation. But watch out! The application deadline ends on September 30 and it is only possible to apply if not all training places have been filled. So it pays to be quick. Otherwise, the only option is to wait for the next recruitment date.
Study/training allowance
Both students and trainees at the University of Kassel earn a salary from day one.
The training allowance is based on § 8 para. 1 of the collective agreement for trainees of the state of Hesse (TVA-H BBiG). Candidate salaries are based on the Hessian Salaries Act.
Where does the journey lead?
For the practical study or training period, your daughter or son will work in the various departments of the university administration, other central institutions, the university workshops or in the departments.
Prerequisites
For the dual courses of study, a higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences is required and for an apprenticeship, a secondary school leaving certificate is usually sufficient. The school requirements vary depending on the training occupation and can be found on the website for each occupation.
