Application procedure 2026

1. 1.Preparation

   Requirements for participation in the Master Class 2026

   • Check whether you are eligible to apply: Self-assessment tool for the calculation of the 8-years research experience
   • Find out about the two main research areas at the University of Kassel (see below).
   • Get in touch with researchers who could supervise your project.
     Important: Your supervisor must hold a professorship at the University of Kassel!
     You will need a letter of commitment from your supervisor.
   • In order to provide you with the best possible support, we require a brief description of your project and a curriculum vitae including track record (concept note and CV)

    

   If you are interested in an individual consultation ("individual clinic") beyond the application workshop, please send us a meaningful idea outline (1 to 2 pages) by February 1, 2026. In addition, an assessment of your project by your supervisor is required (half an A4 page up to 1 page in the following document: Supervisor statement). The Research Committee will decide on participation in the Individual Clinics. You will receive information about the decision in mid-March 2026.

2. 2.Documents

   Please complete the following forms:

   • Concept note and draft application, if applicable (form is expected to be updated in spring)
   • Curriculum vitae including track record
   • Self-assessment regarding eligibility to apply
   • Supervisor's letter of committment (please complete so that the supervisor can sign)
   • Declaration of consent to data protection

3. 3.Procedure

   Please send your documents to Susanne Hoischen-Taubner and your potential supervisor.

   Deadline for submission: February 01, 2026

   • All applicants will be informed of the decision to participate by mid-March 2026 at the latest .
