Local Transport Days on funding - Public panel discussion on September 19.

"To achieve its climate protection goals, Germany will have to significantly expand public transportation," said Prof. Dr. Carsten Sommer of the University of Kassel, whose Department of Transportation Planning and Systems is co-hosting the conference. "This will require money. This raises the question of whether the current mixed financing via tickets and taxes is sufficient. At the Local Transport Days, we want to discuss what other options are available and what clever ways of financing look like."

Public panel discussion on mobility of the future

The conference is open to the public, but there is a charge. An exception is the free panel discussion on "Mobility of the Future" on September 19 at 7:30 p.m., which will be led by TV host Max Moor. Among others, François Bausch, the distinguished economist Prof. Dr. Peter Bofinger and Vienna's Deputy Mayor Maria Vassilakou will take part.
