Surrealist art in the university administration

The ninth edition of the exhibition "Guest in the Presidium" was opened today at the University of Kassel. The two students of the art academy Niklas Reuse and Andreas Ujbanyi exhibit their works for one year in the presidium floor of the university administration.

Niklas Reuse is a 3rd semester student of visual communication with a focus on animation and illustration. His paintings and sculptures deal with universal themes such as birth and death. Reuse places these in a surreal context that is sometimes alienating and disturbing. Reuse has created some of his installations together with electrical engineer Benedikt Bayer.

Andreas Ujbanyi is in his 5th semester studying fine arts. His main focus is painting. Ujbanyi's works consist mainly of surreal scenarios. In addition to dream-like landscapes, people and objects, there are occasional socio-critical elements or references to pop culture.

The exhibition can be visited until January 15, 2021, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, at Mönchebergstraße 19, 3rd floor.
